The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Presbyterial Council meetings are open to all Guild members.
Meetings of Carnoustie Church Guild are usually held each month from September to April on Wednesday afternoons at 2.00 p.m. Here is our syllabus for this session:
27th September George Mcgeogh - UNIDA
11th October Sandra Dow - "Singing and Sailing"
8th November Rev. Jonathan Humphrey
15th December Christmas Lunch in the Station Hotel 12.30 for 1 p.m.
The Guild Friendship and Study Group is using the study book The names of God. Anyone interested should contact Irene on 01241 859405 to obtain a copy of the book and to check the venue for each meeting.
Our strategy for 2021 - 2024 is "Look Forward in Faith" and the theme for this year is "Lights and Bushels".
Our members actively support Church of Scotland Guild projects
while following their motto of “Whose we are and Whom we serve”. Over the next three years the projects we are hoping to support are: Home for Good, Scotland; The Vine Trust; The Village of Hope, Tanzania; Beat (blether with Beat, Scotland); Chocolate Heaven, SE Asia; Hear our Voice, Brazil and StarChild, Uganda.
Our Guild supports the work of CrossReach, the Church of Scotland's Social Care arm.
