Youth & children

Watch this space for announcements about return to usual arrangements.

Crèche:  Every Sunday for babies and toddlers nominally under 3 years and located in the main building in a customised room with adjacent facilities and providing easy access for parents.  Starts when children (Fun Day Club) and Youth Group leave the Church Service after approximately 20 minutes, although can be available from the start of the service if required.

Fun Day Club:  For ages 3 years to P7 during school term time.  Children leave the service after 20 minutes having enjoyed singing and the children's slot.  The Funday Club takes place in the Old Vestry at the rear of the church except when the church service is in the Phillip Hall (January – March) when they meet in the Duthie Room.  They enjoy refreshments, and song, story and craft activities before being collected by parents after the service.

Youth Group:  In partnership with Carnoustie Baptist Church, during school term time our discussion and Bible study group for secondary school pupils explores Christian History and Faith through Bible characters from both Old and New Testaments.  Members are encouraged to attend church and leave along with Fun Day Club children to the Duthie Room in the Philip Hall.  Members usually participate at festival services with prayers, readings, etc.

Community Service:  The Church may be able to offer the chance for youth in local organisations or doing Duke of Edinburgh or Boys' Brigade Queen's Badge to take part in Community work.

Church Tours:  A guided tour of Carnoustie Church is available for youth in Boys' and Girls' Brigades and Scouting and Guiding groups.  The aim of this is to give an insight in to the architecture of the Church and its significance to the Christian Faith.
